About
Our goal as a nursery is to both protect our native environment and native plants and also the beautiful plants that people bred long ago for use in landscaping.

What are native plants?
Native plants, are species that naturally occur and have evolved in our region in harmony with the local environment, climate, and ecosystem. These plants have adapted to the unique conditions of their native habitats, including soil types, rainfall patterns, temperature ranges, and interactions with other organisms. Because of this coevolution with their surroundings, native plants play a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity, supporting local wildlife, and contributing to the overall health and resilience of our ecosystems.

What are heritage plants?
Heritage plants, encompass a treasured array of cultivars that have been nurtured and passed down through generations due to their historical, cultural, or culinary significance. These plants are valued for their link to the past, preserving traditional agricultural practices and botanical diversity. Heritage plants provide insight into the agricultural heritage of a region and offer a connection to the flavors, scents, and aesthetics that have enriched human lives for decades or even centuries.
